Sissy Prescillia And Vanesha Prescilla Release Song Stepping, Lyrics Make You Cry

JAKARTA - Sissy Prescillia and Vanesha Prescilla have released the song Mestepping. This song became the original soundtrack for the film Backstage produced by Paragon Pictures. This song is the result of a collaboration between Vanesha, Sissy and well-known composer, Andi Rianto. While the lyrics were written by Monty Tiwa.

"From the start, we were determined to make Backstage a music-themed film with the best quality. Therefore, we decided to involve Andi Rianto, who is one of the best composers in Indonesia, in this project. And the results really met our expectations," said Robert Ronny, Backstage film producer, at Plaza Indonesia, Friday, December 17th.

Apart from the song Mestepping, in this film, there are two other songs by Andi Rianto, namely What It Is, and Aku Takkan Stop, whose lyrics were written by Wieke Gur. "Stepping in my opinion is the most important song in this film. The essence of this film, so indeed I had to put extra thoughts into this one," said Andi Rianto.

For the first time working with the duet Vanesha and Sissy, Andi admitted that he was amazed by the brothers. "Actually, I am very surprised and amazed by Sasha Sissy's talent because not only are they good actors but as singers they can perform my songs (which are not easy to sing) smoothly and wholeheartedly," he added.

Meanwhile, Vanesha and Sissy admitted that they were very happy to be able to perform a duet with the song Mestepping. "It must be nice, yes, we can realize our dream of being able to do a duet. The first time I heard the lyrics, I got goosebumps. After combining it with beautiful music from Andi Rianto, this song made me cry," said Sissy.

Meanwhile, Vanesha couldn't hold back her tears when the video clip for the song Mestepping was played. "I'm very emotional every time I hear the song. I still cry because the song is very related to Sissy and I. Hopefully, the song "Mestep" can get a positive response from Indonesian music lovers, and give color to the Backstage film," added Vanesha.

In addition to Andi Rianto's Mestepping, I Won't Stop and What It Is, Vanesha Prescilla and Sissy Prescilla also recycled several songs from top Indonesian musicians for ost. Backstage, such as How Pantas (Sheila On Seven by Eross Chandra), Best For You (Tangga by Desty and Hary Budiman), I Remember (Mocca by Riko Prayitno, Arina and Ephiphania) and Like Langit (Portrait by Melly Goeslaw).
