Donny Damara's Feelings When She Became Putri Ayunda's Husband: It Just Flows

JAKARTA - Donny Damara and Putri Ayudya became husband and wife in the movie Waiting for Mother. Not an ordinary couple, because their respective characters have to face health problems.

Donny Damara plays a father figure who has Alzheimer's disease. Meanwhile, Putri becomes a mother who is lying in a coma in the hospital.

"My character is a father who has Alzheimer's, where did I learn from, I read what Alzheimer's is like. Then how bad is it, what are the symptoms, what are the conditions like. I happened to watch the film Iris and Stil Alive," said Donny Damara in Mampang, Jakarta South, Tuesday, December 14th.

"There is one thing that I caught, I made an analogy, it was like a dreeeet television (lost signal) on and off. With a fairly intensive time," he explained.

Putri Ayudya admitted that she was enthusiastic about starring in this film by playing the role of Yeni. "The character is eccentric, I feel that Yeni's character has an interesting ideology. Sometimes we think about how big our heart is to accommodate love, how big our heart capacity is. As mothers, we fall in love with our husbands, children, and children. again, so you can fall in love many times, yes. I think Yeni's description is also like that," he explained.

When paired with Donny Damara, Putri admitted that she fit right in. "With Mas Donny, I have met several times, admired his work, and always waited for when we would finally be able to work together. Finally it was done," he said.

Meanwhile, Donny Damara admitted that the chemistry with Putri Ayudya and other players was immediately obtained on the first day of reading. "We first met when we were reading, we immediately had fun chatting. We immediately got together according to the character. It just flowed like that," he recalls.

The film Waiting for Mother tells the story of a woman who decides to become the mother of other children, to become one. And now lying unconscious in the hospital, her children are slowly discovering about themselves and the truth about their mother.

"Every person has a personal relationship with the mother. How to look into the eyes, non-verbal communication makes goosebumps. On the other hand, there are three children who have their own egos," he said.

Besides Donny Damara and Putri Ayudya, this film, directed by Richard Oh, also stars Rey Mshadow, Adinda Thomas, and Steffi Zamora. Waiting for Mother will air on December 17th on KlikFilm.
