JAKARTA - Tersanjung the Series will air starting December 8, 2021, for free on the WeTV and iflix applications with a new and fresh look, but with nostalgia just like the original soap operas that aired in the '90s era.

"Tersanjung is the first Indonesian soap opera to break the record for the longest broadcast in the 90s. This time, WeTV makes a remake of 'Tersanjung' with a more modern and fresh look, but with a more romantic love story," said Country WeTV and iflix Indonesia Manager Lesley Simpson, Friday, December 4.

This series tells the life and love story of Indah, a beautiful girl alone who lives in Jakarta. Fate brought her together with Bobby, who became her first love, and Rama, a man who loves Indah sincerely.

Even though it is based on an old story, the storyline presented by WeTV Original "Tersanjung the Series" is adapted to the problems faced by young people today.

"With more and more local content being broadcast on WeTV Indonesia, it is hoped that it will be an opportunity for the Indonesian entertainment industry to present more quality content for Indonesian viewers," said Raam Punjabi.

Furthermore, "Tersanjung the Series" is the work of director Anggy Umbara and is played by Jessica Mila, Rezky Aditya, and Rayn Wijaya.

"Being involved in the WeTV Original Tersanjung the Series project was a challenge for me, starting from the storyline and the cast," said director Anggy.

Here is the synopsis of Tersanjung The Series.

After the death of her father and mother, Indah had to live at her uncle's house. She also had to work for the family without being paid. Her uncle's family did not like Indah, especially her male cousin who often teased her, until one night Indah tried to fight back.

With full wounds and bloody hands, at that time how beautiful Indah was because Bobby saw her. Since that incident, Indah and Bobby have become close to each other. They found a lot of compatibility, so they ended up dating.

Bobby helped Indah a lot, Indah and Bobby's relationship became more serious and they decided to get married. Their life was simple but happy, until one night Bobby was kidnapped and never came home, something happened to Bobby.

Indah is frantic, contemplating suicide. The incident brought her together with Rama, an optimistic and cheerful man who eventually changed Indah's life. Several years later, Bobby decides to look for Indah. They fight for Indah's love.

Meanwhile, Indah begins to realize that before she chooses Rama or Bobby, she must make peace with herself and find happiness for herself.
