JAKARTA - The Health Office (Dinkes) of Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh Province continues to carry out the fumigation and mosquito breeding eradication program (PSN) at every flood-affected evacuation location.
"We are still fogging (fogging), especially in evacuation locations and tents where residents are displaced," said the Head of the Aceh Tamiang Health Office, Mustaqim, in Aceh Tamiang, as reported by ANTARA.
He explained that so far dozens of locations have been sprayed with Aedes aegypti mosquito killers, the cause of DBD.
Fumigation has been carried out since December 20, 2025 when there were still many refugees on the Kuala Simpang Bridge and is still ongoing until today.
"There are 17 locations, including the evacuation location of the GOR, the DPRK building, the RSUD, and finally the Praja IPDN volunteer accommodation," he said.
In the future, his party targets the target of fumigating all health centers as well as villages that are used as evacuation locations or residents' homes.
"This fogging program has also been passed on to villages through health centers or pustu (sub-health centers) in coordination with the local sub-district," he said.
He explained that medical services at the health center were active after previously experiencing a clean water crisis. The clean water and drinking water sources come from RO desalination installed by the Defense University Water Task Force (Unhan) in cooperation with the Yonzipur Kodam I/BB Team.
"Alhamdulillah, all the health centers are active after the deployment of TNI and Polri personnel and volunteers to help accelerate the recovery of public health services. We want to pogging every health center," said Mustaqim.
