Donald Trump's MRI Results Become A Spotlight, His Health Condition Decreases?

JAKARTA - The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has been declared in excellent health condition after undergoing a thorough executive physical examination. This was conveyed by the doctor at the White House through an official memo.

Reporting from the BBC page, the memo written by Captain Sean Barabella on Monday, December 1, 2025, mentions the results of a follow-up scan of the 79-year-old man's heart and stomach. The results show his fully normal condition.

The day before, Trump had admitted to having undergone an MRI scan, but he did not know which part of the body was examined.

This latest news comes amid pressure from the Democratic Party, including Minnesota Governor Tim Walz who asked for the scan results to be published due to concerns about Trump's age in his second term.

Barabella explained that Trump's body examination in October was carried out because the man at that age needed a thorough evaluation of heart and stomach health.

He emphasized that no narrowing of the arteries, blood flow disorders, or abnormalities in Trump's heart or main blood vessels were found. Overall, Trump's cardiovascular system is considered to be in excellent condition.

Stomach scanning results were also declared normal. Barbabella, who is an emergency US Navy doctor and has served in Iraq and Afghanistan, said all examined organs were functioning within normal limits and showed no acute or chronic problems.

According to him, the scans carried out are standard procedures for executive physical examination for someone the age of Trump. Even so, he only mentions further action without explaining whether what is meant is an MRI or a CT scan.

While on the Air Force One plane on Sunday, Trump said he had no objection if the results of the examination were announced to the public.

But when asked which part of the body was examined, he replied, "I don't know. It's just an MRI. What is definitely not the brain, because I've taken cognitive tests and the results are perfect."

Trump did his annual physical examination last April. In October, he admitted to having undergone an MRI at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. The White House called the visit part of its annual routine examination.

But they did not explain the reason for the MRI at that time or the part of the body being scanned. Trump at that time said the MRI results were perfect.

Barabella said the scanning goal was preventive measures to detect problems early on, ensure overall health conditions, and maintain body vitality and function in the long term.

The contents of the memo were read by the White House Press Secretary, Krypto Leavitt, at a press conference.

"I think this is quite a detail as an effort to be transparent. The President promised last night, and today we have fulfilled it," he said.

However, two doctors who were questioned by the BBC said the MRI was not a standard check for deterrence. Dr Carla Perissinotto of the University of California San Francisco explained that some people did choose additional examinations outside of age-based medical guidelines.

Meanwhile, Dr Jeffrey A.men from Northwestern University said the memo did not explain whether the MRI or CT scan used was difficult to find out what type of examination was actually carried out. He added that anatomical scanning without symptoms was generally not recommended because the risk could outweigh the benefits.

In executive examinations that usually include a variety of additional tests, perfect results without any calculification intensive arteries are considered unusual.

Trump himself was seen several times with his swollen ankle and bruises on his right hand. He also seemed to fall asleep during a meeting.

In July, the White House stated Trump was diagnosed with chronic venous insufficiency, a condition that could cause swelling in the legs.
