JAKARTA - WHO Data (World Health Organization) in 2022 states that more than 2 million women in the World have been diagnosed with breast cancer. In Indonesia itself, the latest data on Global Cancer Observatory reports that the number of new findings of breast cancer in Indonesia has reached more than 66 thousand cases. This trend makes breast cancer the most common type of cancer, and is also a big challenge for the health of women in Indonesia.

On the other hand, even though the incidence rate is quite high, it does not mean breast cancer cannot be cured. The sooner it is detected, the higher the chance of breast cancer to be cured. Unfortunately, public awareness about early detection is still low, and many are still just checking themselves when symptoms are severe or in advanced stages.

Coinciding with the commemoration of World Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, the Indonesian Breast Cancer Foundation (YKPI) collaborated with the sanitary brand by conducting its own breast check education themed AYO SADARI AFTER MENSTRUASING'. This time education was given in stages to a total of more than 1,000 female students from several universities in Jakarta during October 2025.

In commemoration of this year's breast cancer awareness, early detection education of breast cancer was carried out in stages to more than 1,000 female students from several universities in Jakarta.

Breast cancer not only attacks the elderly but also the younger ages. However, this can be prevented by doing SADARI (joint PAYURA SERVICE) in a regular and disciplined manner, as well as SADANIS (PAYUDARA CLINIS) with medical personnel. Breast cancer can be dismissed if found early and treated appropriately and quickly so that hopes of recovery and life will be high.

"For this reason, we urge you to do SADARI 7-10 days after menstruation on the first day. We hope that by providing education to students, they will become educational agents and spread SADARI's habits to many women around them in order to take care of each other," he said in an official broadcast. Regarding this activity, Unicharm Director Sri Haryani said the key to early detection of breast cancer was SADARI (Self Breast Check). Because SADARI is recommended to be done 7 to 10 days after the first day of menstruation.

"We believe that breast cancer menstruation and prevention are closely related, and CHARM wants all women to be able to express themselves relentlessly, at all times. Therefore, since 2021 we and YKPI have continued to provide early detection of breast cancer to tens of thousands of women throughout Indonesia," he explained.
