For marathon runners, adequate rest is an important factor in maintaining stamina. Glenda Vyona, who successfully achieved the Sub 4 target, admitted that at that time she was completing her thesis and taking care of the child during preparations for the Tokyo Marathon. He said that sleeping was quite influential on her performance.
"We were given 16 weeks to practice. During the Tokyo Marathon, I was also working on a thesis and had children. But thankfully, I didn't stay up late, so everything went well. The body felt more fit," explained Glenda.
3. Maintain Nutrition and Hydration
In addition to physical exercise, the nutritional aspect is also a major concern in preparation for the marathon. Coach Andriyanto emphasized that a good diet can support stamina and body recovery.
"We always monitor Nutrition so that runners get enough energy during training and competitions," he said.
Not only that, Naufal Rahman, who successfully completed his marathon debut, also revealed the importance of support from ASICS in providing various running equipment.

4. Mental preparation
According to Coach Andriyanto, a strong mentality is a crucial factor in facing marathon challenges.

"It is very necessary to have a stronger mentality. If the physical is ready, then the mindset must be changed. Training must not be half-hearted, preparation must be maximized," said Naufal.

Running shoes have an important role in supporting runners' performance. Coach Andriyanto explained that the development of technology in running shoes is now increasingly supporting convenience and efficiency in running.
