Research Reveals Headache Cluster Makes Body Pain The Most, What Is It?

JAKARTA - A recent study reveals that cluster headaches are the most painful pain in the body. The study was published in the journal Haedache, which involved 1,604 cluster headaches.

Quoted from the Daily Mail, Monday, February 24, the patients compared the headaches they experienced with various health problems, injuries, or other painful conditions. Participants are asked to assess the intensity of the pain they feel on a 1-10 scale.

Through research, cluster headaches were ranked first with 9.7 points. Then in second place occupied by the pain felt when giving birth with a score of 7.2 points.

Cluster headaches are a very severe type of headache and can come regularly for a certain period of time, reported by UCLA Health. This condition makes the patient lying in pain and lasts for hours several times a day, and pain relievers are said to be unable to deal with the pain.

Types of cluster headaches are divided into two. Starting from episodic cluster headaches, which usually occur in one week to one year, and chronic cluster headaches whose attacks come more frequently than episodic cluster headaches.

Symptoms commonly experienced by people with cluster headaches are pain that is very intense around one eye or temples. Then the watery and red eyes on the sick side, nasal congestion, feeling restless, nausea, the size of the pupils shrink, and the pale and sweaty face.
