This is one of the focuses of the ETH Genesis: Quantum Leap event held by INDODAX on Friday, July 31. Chief Marketing Officer of INDODAX, Aloysia Dian, said that discussing quantum computing needs to be seen as part of efforts to build a blockchain ecosystem that is increasingly mature and ready to face technological developments in the future.

"Technological developments always present challenges as well as opportunities. Although quantum computing is still at the research and development stage, its potential for cryptographic systems has become a concern for the global community. He said that discussing quantum computing does not mean that the technology has become an immediate threat to blockchain today. The potential risks that many researchers and developers discuss are more directed at the ability of quantum computers in the future to solve cryptographic systems used in securing digital assets when the technology has reached a certain level of maturity.

"Until now, quantum computing is still in the research and development stage. In the future, this technology has the potential to be used to accelerate various complex computational processes and encourage the birth of innovation in various sectors, including crypto. At the same time, the global blockchain community is also continuing to research and develop new approaches so that the ecosystem remains safe as the technology develops," explained Aloysia.

He added that readiness to face technological changes cannot be built instantly. Therefore, collaboration between industry players is needed so that innovation can continue to develop without neglecting security aspects.

"Building a blockchain ecosystem that is ready to face the era of quantum computers is not a simple process. It takes time for research and testing, the development of new security standards, and cross-ecosystem collaboration so that the transition can be carried out gradually and still maintain user trust," he added.

Through this initiative, INDODAX seeks to encourage literacy and discussion regarding the future of blockchain and cryptography in the midst of quantum computing developments. The forum discusses the implications of quantum computing technology on blockchain, the readiness to build a more robust ecosystem, and the importance of collaboration in preparing the technology foundation for the long term.
