JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) revealed that the preparation of the technical planning of the Serpong-Bogor Toll Road via Parung project along 32 kilometers (km) is in the process of completion.
Minister PU Dody Hanggodo said that the portion of the technical planning of the toll road project was targeted to be completed by the end of 2026.
"The progress of the project is currently still in the stage of preparing technical planning, with progress approaching 80 percent. We continue to accelerate the process so that the planning stage can be completed this year," said Dody as quoted from a written statement, Monday, May 25.
The connectivity infrastructure in the Jabodetabek area is worked on using a Government and Business Entity (KPBU) Cooperation scheme purely without using the support of APBN funds. The investment value of the project is reported to reach IDR 12.35 trillion.
Technically, the toll project is divided into four sections, including Section I Salabenda-Pondok Udik (3.97 km), Section II Pondok Udik-Putat Nutug (9.27 km), Section III Putat Nutug-Rumpin (8.23 km) and Section IV Rumpin-Serpong (10.56 km).
Then, the physical construction of the toll road will later be equipped with two main junctions, namely the Salabenda Junction and the Serpong Junction to connect the existing route.
Three interchanges will also be built at crucial points that include the Pondok Udik, Putat Nutug, and Rumpin districts.
The construction of the toll road was carried out by PT Bogor Serpong Infra Selaras which is a consortium of PT Jasa Marga, PT Adhi Karya, PT Hutama Karya Infrastruktur (HKI) and PT Persada Utama Infra.
The consortium of the winning bidder bagged the concession period for the management of the Serpong-Bogor Toll Road via Parung for 40 years.
The presence of the toll road is projected to reduce the travel time from Bogor to Tangerang to 45 minutes and at the same time reduce the national Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR) through logistics cost efficiency.
"The existence of the Serpong-Bogor Toll Road via Parung is expected to encourage the growth of new economic centers, strengthen inter-regional connectivity and support the equitable development of the Jabodetabek area and its surroundings," he said.
