JAKARTA - PT PLN (Persero) recorded revenue in 2025 of IDR 582.68 trillion, growing 6.84 percent compared to 2024 of IDR 545.38 trillion.

PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo said that this positive performance was driven by the growth in electricity sales and the acceleration of customer connection in various regions of Indonesia.

"This achievement is a manifestation of the Government's success in maintaining national economic and energy stability in the midst of global dynamics. This stability is an important foundation for PLN to continue to maintain the company's performance while ensuring that the electricity needs of the community and business world are met reliably," said Darmawan, Wednesday, May 20.

Throughout 2025, PLN's electricity sales were recorded at 317.69 Terawatt hours (TWh), an increase of 3.75 percent compared to the previous year of 306.21 TWh.

Meanwhile, in terms of customer connected power growth, it was recorded at 192,621 Megavolt Ampere (MVA), growing 5.82 percent compared to 2024 of 182,026 MVA.

In addition, customer connectivity also experienced significant growth. The number of PLN customers increased by 3.3 million to 96.2 million customers in 2025.

So that the customer connection revenue in 2025 reaches IDR 2.24 trillion, an increase of 28.4 percent compared to 2024.

This increase in customer connectivity is an indicator of the growth of economic activities of the community and the business world, as well as reflecting the increasing access of the community to electricity.

This growth is not only driven by regular connections, but is also strengthened through the Electricity New Connection Assistance (BPBL) program from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources which reaches people to the ends of the earth.

"The availability of access to electricity to the farthest reaches is an important part of supporting the equitable development and growth of the national economy. The government together with PLN continues to ensure that people can obtain access to electricity, so that no one is left in the dark," added Darmawan.

Darmawan added that with this achievement, the company's financial performance remained solid with a total net profit of IDR 7.26 trillion amid economic dynamics that affected the movement of the rupiah exchange rate against the exchange rate.

"In the midst of global conditions, PLN is still able to book a net profit of IDR 7.26 trillion. This achievement was achieved despite the fact that the company faced a loss of exchange rate difference of IDR 12.46 trillion due to global exchange rate volatility," added Darmawan.
