JAKARTA - Data from the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) and the Jabodetabek Urban Transportation Policy Integration (JUTPI) Phase II in 2019 recorded; economic losses due to congestion in the Jabodetabek area reached Rp. 100 trillion per year. In addition to economic losses, congestion also has a major impact on quality of life, where the transportation sector is the largest contributor to air pollution.

In addition to high vehicle density and mobility, one of the causes of congestion is also road repairs. Road repairs conventionally can take 1 to 2 weeks. Not only time and economic losses, pollution due to road closures also contributes to air pollution.
