Show Outstanding Performance in K3 Implementation, SIG Receives Indonesia Best Companies in HSE Implementation 2026 Award

JAKARTA - The success of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in implementing the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) which has a positive impact on achieving zero fatalities (incidents that cause death or fatality) in 2025, as well as increasing cost efficiency and work productivity, received appreciation at the Indonesia Best Companies In HSE Implementation 2026. SIG which is in the category of Manufacturing Companies was awarded the title of Excellent, which is the highest title in this prestigious event.

The award was handed over by SPOT Corporate Communication Managing Director (SWA Media Group), Teguh Poeradisastra to General Manager of SHE SIG, Harry Ghautama in the awarding of Indonesia Best Companies In HSE Implementation 2026 at the Shangri - La Hotel Jakarta on Wednesday, March 11.

The Indonesia Best Companies in HSE Implementation 2026 Award is given to companies that have demonstrated superior performance in the implementation of good corporate governance, including in the aspects of K3 and sustainability. The assessment is carried out by experienced professionals and leading academics in the field of K3 through various strict parameters that include compliance with regulations, strategies, and innovations in the implementation of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment), as well as positive impacts on the environment and society.

SIG Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, the Indonesia Best Companies in HSE Implementation 2026 award is an acknowledgment and appreciation for SIG's commitment in implementing HSE principles as a fundamental part of every Company activity.

"This proud achievement is the result of hard work from the HSE team and all SIG Insan who together have improved the K3 culture, and are a motivation for SIG to continue to improve the implementation of SMK3 to maintain worker safety, protect the environment, and ensure business sustainability," said Vita Mahreyni.

One of the strategic efforts of SIG in strengthening the culture of occupational safety in the SIG Group environment is through the implementation of VSL (Visible Safety Leadership), namely the active involvement of management lines that directly go to the field to dialogue, conduct observations and constructive interventions when unsafe conditions and actions are found.

To improve and strengthen these efforts, SIG encourages transformation towards Visible-Felt Safety Leadership (VFSL) - where leadership in safety is not only visible, but also felt by workers. This aims to build trust, strengthen collaboration, and foster a sense of shared responsibility for safety.

The implementation of the K3 aspect in SIG is also strengthened through various efforts, including the strengthening of the Corporate Life Saving Rules (CLSR) which are more implementable through the New CLSR: Safety Golden Rules and CLSR IP, Standardization of SMK3 Guidelines and Health & Safety Procedures, Standardization of K3 Practices, Safety Academy program and K3 reporting through the SHESIG application for all SIG Group Insan, the implementation of SHE Leader's Talk through webinars, and the implementation of CSMS (Contractor Safety Management System) to all contractors.

Vita Mahreyni added that the K3 culture comes from the awareness that safety is a shared responsibility that starts from each individual and is a common need. All the great achievements in 2025 will be energy for SIG to increase safety maturity or the ability to overcome safety risks to a higher level.
