Director General of Railways, Ministry of Transportation, Allan Tandiono said that the physical condition of the station is currently ready to be used, ranging from the main building to supporting facilities for passengers.

"So Jatake now the building is ready. Friends can go there, the parking lot is ready, the toilet is ready, the escalator, the elevator is ready," said Allan after the media briefing on the Nataru Transportation 2025/2026) in Jakarta, Wednesday, December 31.

Even so, Allan said the operation of the Jatake Station is still waiting for readiness from the operator, namely PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), as well as the developer of the area, Sinar Mas.

"It depends on the operator and who builds the station as well. If we are ready anytime," he said.

Currently, continued Allan, the testing process is still ongoing and is waiting for an official time to start serving passengers.

"Now the testing process is also underway. Yes, just wait for the date to start operating," said Allan.

Previously, PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI ensured that Jatake Station in Tangerang Regency would start operating in 2026. The new station on the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung Commuter Line is projected to be able to serve up to 20,000 passengers per day.

KAI President Director Bobby Rasyidin said that currently the Jatake Station is currently in the finalization stage together with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub).

"Welcoming 2026, this new station continues to be prepared through the finalization stage with the Directorate General of Railways of the Ministry of Transportation, before it starts serving the public," said Bobby in an official statement, Monday, December 29.

Bobby said the presence of Jatake Station was a response to the significant growth in the number of users of the Rangkasbitung cross Commuter Line in recent years. Bobby said that strengthening infrastructure is the key to maintaining the reliability of mass transportation services.

KAI data shows that the number of Commuter Line users across Rangkasbitung continues to increase, from 43,317,716 users in 2022 to 62,085,471 users in 2023. The figure increased again to 69,999,362 users in 2024 and reached 70,496,181 users from January to November 2025.

Jatake Station was developed with the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) concept which integrates transportation functions with regional activities. This station stands on an area of 2,435 square meters with a three-story building with an area of around 3,000 square meters.

Located at KM 37+045 of the Tanah Abang-Rangkasbitung line, this station is equipped with a 250-meter platform with a width of 6 meters each.

"This growth shows the public's increasing need for reliable mass transportation services. Jatake Station is prepared to meet this need by providing closer access, more organized travel, and more even passenger distribution," said Bobby.
