JAKARTA - The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is planning to strengthen community-based infrastructure development or Cash-Based Work (PKT) through a number of strategic programs.
Citing information shared by the PU Ministry on its official Instagram account @kementerianpu, Monday, December 29, the community-based infrastructure plan includes water resources and creative works.
For the water resources sector, the PU Ministry plans to realize the Irrigation Water Management Improvement Acceleration Program (P3TGAI) in 12,000 locations. This figure has also increased by 50 percent compared to 2025.
Meanwhile, for the field of creative works, the PU Ministry plans to realize the Regional Socio-Economic Infrastructure Development Program (PISEW) in 600 locations.
Then, the Community-Based Drinking Water and Sanitation Provision Program (Pamsimas) in 470 locations.
Next, the Community-Based Sanitation Program (Sanimas) in 1,000 locations and the Waste Processing Place Reduce-Reuse-Recycle Program in 80 locations.
The figure is up 100 percent compared to 2025.
Minister PU Dody Hanggodo said the Cash Work Program is a development strategy that not only produces physical output, but also has a direct impact on the local economy and creates jobs.
