Denpasar - The management of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali, has listed the nine days of running the Christmas 2025 and New Year 2026 (Nataru) Post, serving an average of 67,000 passengers per day.
Head of the Communication and Legal Division of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Gede Eka Sandi Asmadi, said that in the midst of Bali being rumored to be quiet, the number of passenger movements was above normal.
"During the Nataru Post period which has been active since December 15, 2025, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport has served 604,008 passengers or an average of 67,112 passengers per day," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 24.
"Meanwhile, the average daily passenger movement during January-November was 66,222 passengers per day," continued Gede Eka.
If detailed, the number of passengers in the last nine days consists of 240,130 domestic passengers and 363,878 international passengers.
Although higher than normal daily visits, the airport manager admitted that this achievement was lower than the same period in the Nataru Post last year, or only 95.5 percent.
In addition to passenger data, the I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport also recorded the aircraft traffic situation, where during the Nataru Post, 3,813 movements or an average of 423 movements per day were recorded.
Meanwhile, the average daily throughout 2025 is 390 movements per day so that there is an increase, but as with passenger data, when compared to the last Nataru period, the number of aircraft movements is still below it.
If viewed on a daily basis, on Tuesday (23/12) yesterday alone, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport transported 70,081 passengers consisting of 29,370 domestic passengers and 40,711 international passengers.
This number is still lower than the previous Nataru Post period with a difference of 2,802 passengers.
Meanwhile, for aircraft movements in the past day, there were 428 movements or almost equal to the previous year's condition.
To keep traffic at the airport running smoothly during Nataru, Gede Eka ensured that coordination would continue to be carried out with related elements.
"To maintain the smooth operation and passenger service, we continue to synergize with related agencies and ensure that all facilities are in optimal condition," he said.
