The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has accelerated the handling of road and bridge infrastructure damaged by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra (North Sumatra), and West Sumatra (West Sumatra).
Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said, until December 9, 2025 at 20.00 WIB, 72 national roads and 30 national bridges were badly damaged, with the progress of handling in North Sumatra reaching the highest figure, namely 78.69 percent.

Dody added that despite facing 12 additional landslide points, a number of major inter-city and district access in West Sumatra were successfully reopened, including Padang' Padang' Patarman' North Sumatra Border and coastal crossings.
Emergency handling in West Sumatra is reinforced by the deployment of 41 excavators and 630 wire gabions to maintain slope stability.
