Delay Discussion Of Commodity Balance 2026, Zulhas: No One Comes To The Minister

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan decided to postpone the discussion meeting on the 2026 Commodity Balance.

The meeting was previously scheduled to start at 14.00 WIB.

At 14.00 WIB, a number of relevant Ministry/Institution officials began to be seen arriving and attending the Main Meeting Room, the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs Office, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, December 9.

In observations at the location, the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture Suwandi, Main Secretary of the National Food Agency Sarwo Edy, to the Director General of Agro Industry of the Ministry of Industry Putu Juli Ardika were seen present.

However, there were no technical ministers present. In fact, in the invitation to the meeting, the ministers who were supposed to be present were Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman; Minister of Trade Budi Santoso; Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang and Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono.

Zulhas, as Zulkifli Hasan is familiarly called, said that because the ministers who were invited to the meeting were not present, the meeting was postponed. He said, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman was unable to attend because he was visiting Papua.

"I had a meeting with the NK, but no one came to the minister. I suspended it, because no one came. The Minister of Agriculture is again in Papua, the Minister of Industry said that abroad, the Minister of Maritime Affairs will only be present, the Minister of Trade will be there again about disasters," he said at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 9.

Because the meeting was only attended by echelon I from each Ministry/Institution, Zulhas also asked them to have a meeting again and equalize the decision.

At the same time confirming when technical ministers can attend the 2026 Commodity Balance meeting.

"So I asked echelon I of the meeting to equalize what was needed, and when the minister could come. So there has not been (there was a decision), suspended until when they can determine," he said.
