Transportation And Warehousing Drives Bank Mandiri Credit Growth In West Java

BANDUNG PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) revealed that the transportation and warehousing sectors are the main supporters of credit growth in the Region VI/West Java region.

Meanwhile, both sectors contributed to an increase in credit of Rp9.7 trillion or grew 6.7 percent on an annual basis (yoy), with a portion of 15.7 percent of total credit until the third quarter of 2025.

Regional CEO of Bank Mandiri Region VI West Java, Nila Mayta Dwi Rihandjani explained that PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) was the biggest contributor to credit growth in the region.

"Because we have PT KAI, it is one of the biggest credit contributors to us," Nila said in Bank Mandiri's Media Gathering, quoted Monday, December 8.

The second largest contributor to Bank Mandiri Region VI West Java's total credit is the industrial and processing sector, which reaches IDR 9.5 trillion. This sector recorded 24.2 percent (yoy) growth and contributed 15.4 percent of total lending.

Overall, Bank Mandiri Region VI West Java credit grew 14.7 percent on an annual basis and reached IDR 61.52 trillion by the end of September 2025.

In terms of funding, the collection of low-cost funds or current account and saving accounts (CASA) also shows an increase of 11.5 percent (yoy), signaling an increase in public trust in Bank Mandiri.

Nila added that digitalization is an important element in encouraging inclusive growth and expanding access to financial services.

"The use of Livin' by Mandiri, Livin' Merchant, and the Kopra by Mandiri platform are proven to expand the market, facilitate transactions, and strengthen financial literacy for business actors whose benefits can be enjoyed by all people," he said.
