JAKARTA - The government has distributed Direct Cash Assistance for People's Welfare (BLT Kesra) of IDR 900,000 until December 3, 2025 to 26.2 million beneficiary families (KPM) or about 75 percent of the total 35 million KPM.
BLT Kesra is a year-end stimulus program given for three months, namely October, November, and December 2025. The amount is IDR 300,000 per month and is paid at once, so that each KPM receives a total of IDR 900,000.
This program is intended for low-income families who are recorded in the National Sole Social Economic Data (DTSEN) at deposits 1 to 4. The distribution is carried out through Himbara banks and PT Pos Indonesia.
However, the question arises whether the stimulus assistance at the end of this year will continue the following year.
Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto stated that the government had not yet made a decision regarding the sustainability of the Kesra BLT worth Rp900,000.
"Of course we haven't decided yet, because this is a stimulant at the end of the year," said Airlangga at the Premier Rawamangun Post Office, Thursday, December 4.
Airlangga added that apart from BLT Kesra, the government is still running a number of other social assistance programs, such as the Family Hope Program (PKH) and the 2025 National Internship Program.
"In addition to the Kesra BLT, there is assistance for the family hope program for 18.4 million Then there is also an internship program that has been carried out for 78,815 (receivers)," he said.
Instead of ensuring the sustainability of the Kesra BLT, Airlangga emphasized that the year-end stimulus program that is certain to continue is the National Internship Program.
"So that this program, which is specifically for internships, will continue and we will evaluate this in the future," he said.
He also hopes that these various programs can encourage economic growth in the fourth quarter to be better than the previous quarter.
"We have many programs, so hopefully economic growth in the fourth quarter will be better than the previous quarter," he explained.
