Exceeding Target, Pertamina NRE Electricity Production Reaches 6.5 Million MWh

JAKARTA - Pertamina New & Renewable Energy (Pertamina NRE) reported, until the third quarter of 2025 consolidated electricity production reached 6,524,753 Megawatt hour (MWh), or 19.2 percent higher than the target of RKAP Quarter III 2025.

Pertamina NRE's Corporate Secretary, Rizki Vistiari explained, this significant increase was mainly driven by the optimal performance of Pertamina NRE's affiliate, PT Jawa Satu Power (JSP), which posted production of 2,690,693 MWh, or 48 percent above the target.

"Electric production from (PGE) also contributed greatly to the production of 3,745,357 MWh or exceeding 5 percent of the target. Meanwhile, Pertamina Power Indonesia (PPI) recorded production of 88,703 MWh, approaching the target of 90,166 MWh," he said, Friday, October 31.

He added that Pertamina NRE's cumulative installed capacity reached 3,083 Megawatts (MW), a significant increase compared to the previous period.

This increase was contributed by the affiliate of Pertamina NRE, CREC, which succeeded in the commercial operation date PLTS baseload with a capacity of 197 MW and a battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of 320 MWh last September, so that the total installed capacity from CREC to the third quarter reached 526 MW.

Thanks to the addition of new projects including the CREC (Palawan's Project) with a capacity of 526 MW.

"From other operational aspects, in the third quarter of the EAF (equivalent availability factor) the Pertamina NRE electricity plant reached 98.28 percent, an increase of 7 percent compared to the same period last year," he continued.

This, said Rizki, shows a good level of reliability of the power plant. Meanwhile, the equivalent advance rate (EFOR) was nil until the third quarter, which means that there was no incident where the power plant stopped operating unplannedly.

In terms of finance, Pertamina NRE also recorded positive achievements. Revenue, EBITDA, and consecutive net profit amounted to 325.4 million US dollars, 215.6 million US dollars, and 85.13 million US dollars.

Revenue realization is 2 percent higher than the target, while EBITDA and net profit are 2 percent higher and 1 percent higher than the target.

"In the midst of a challenging economic and political situation, the positive achievements recorded by Pertamina NRE are proof of the hard work and smart work of the entire team. And of course it cannot be separated from the support of shareholders and stakeholders," he said.

Dalam aspek keselamatan dan lingkungan (HSSE), Pertamina NRE berhasil mempertahankan nihil fatalitas sepanjang triwulan III.

Upaya dekarbonisasi juga menunjukkan hasil positif. Program manajemen emisi berhasil menekan emisi sebesar 14.994 ton CO₂e, jauh melampaui target tahunan 2.080 ton CO₂e.

“Di Tengah tuntutan untuk meningkatkan kinerja bisnis, aspek HSSE tetap menjadi prioritas di Pertamina NRE. Kami menjadikan HSSE sebagai budaya Perusahaan,” tandas Rizki.

In terms of safety and environment (HSSE), Pertamina NRE managed to maintain zero fatality throughout the third quarter.

Decarbonization efforts also showed positive results. The emission management program managed to reduce emissions by 14,994 tons of CO2e, far beyond the annual target of 2,080 tons of CO2e.

"In the midst of demands to improve business performance, the HSSE aspect remains a priority in Pertamina NRE. We make HSSE a corporate culture," said Rizki.
