Pupuk Indonesia Salurkan 64 Percent Fertilizer Subsidized

JAKARTA - PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) distributed 64 percent of the total allocation of subsidized fertilizers this year until October 19, 2025 or exactly one year of the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

President Director of Pupuk Indonesia Rahmad Pribadi stated that this achievement was equivalent to 6.14 million tons of the total national subsidized fertilizer allocation in 2025 of 9.55 million tons.

"Pupuk Indonesia is committed to continuing to strengthen its contribution to national food security, either through the provision of quality fertilizers to maintain Indonesia's food sovereignty," Rahmad said in his official statement, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, October 22.

He said the company's positive performance related to the distribution of subsidized fertilizers could not be separated from various policy breakthroughs implemented by the government as part of efforts to reform subsidized fertilizer management.

One of them is through Presidential Regulation (Perpres) Number 6 of 2025 concerning Governance of Subsidized Fertilizers and Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture (Permentan) Number 15 of 2025 concerning Implementing Regulations of Presidential Regulation Number 6 of 2025 concerning Governance of Subsidized Fertilizers.

Rahmad said, through these two regulations, the government cut 145 regulations related to subsidized fertilizer management, so that the distribution chain becomes shorter and more efficient by bringing subsidized fertilizer access closer to farmers.

His party also appreciated the government's support and policies for presenting regulations on the distribution of fertilizers that were more accountable, efficient, and just for farmers.

"This year we can see various strategic steps that are a new milestone for the national fertilizer sector. In one year the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, subsidized fertilizer management has undergone real changes," he said.

Rahmad assessed that policy support from the government and the efforts made by his party had had a significant impact on accelerating the distribution of subsidized fertilizers.

For the first time in history, the distribution of subsidized fertilizers can be started on January 1. This timely distribution ensures farmers get fertilizer when needed.

"We are committed to implementing all policies and regulations consistently and responsibly, as part of ensuring the availability of fertilizers and concrete efforts to support the realization of national sovereignty and sustainable food security," he added.
