Minister Of Trade Budi Aims For Transactions Of IDR 237.5 Trillion Through Trade Expo Indonesia 2025

TANGERANG - The Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) targets the value of trade transactions through the 40th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) event in 2025 to reach 16.5 billion US dollars (US) or equivalent to IDR 273.5 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 16,580 per US dollar).

The Minister of Trade (Mendag), Budi Santoso said that for 40 years, TEI played a role in bridging international buyers' meetings from designing the country with domestic producers and exporters, ranging from novice exporters to large and experienced exporters.

Budi said that at this year's implementation, the Ministry of Trade set a transaction target to reach IDR 237.5 trillion.

"The Ministry of Trade targets the achievement of trade transactions at TEI 2025 of US$ 16.5 billion," Budi said at the opening of the 40th TEI, at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten, Wednesday, October 15.

Budi hopes that this target will be able to encourage increased exports, attract investment, as well as strengthen national economic growth.

Furthermore, Budi said that this annual international trade event received high enthusiasm. It was recorded that 1,619 participants from various business sectors took part, while 8,045 buyers (buyers) from 130 countries were registered to attend the exhibition.

"TEI is a moment that is always eagerly awaited every year, a big celebration that not only brings together national business actors, but also brings together business actors with thousands of buyers from all over the world," he said.

For your information, the 40th TEI of 2025 will be held from Wednesday 15 October to 19 October 2025. The year's implementation carries the theme 'Discover Indonesia's Excellence, Trade Beyond Boundaries.'

This exhibition features three main zones, namely food, beverage and agricultural products; manufacturing products; as well as service products and lifestyles.

"In addition to exhibitions, various supporting programs will also be held, namely business matching, business journaling, to business forums to provide up-to-date information about trade and investment to business actors in associations, buyers, and other stakeholders," he said.
