JAKARTA - Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas opened his voice regarding the opinion that the government is carrying out the process of revising the Law on the fourth amendment to Law Number 19 of 2003 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) quickly aka being accelerated.
According to Supratman, it is not about how many days the discussion on the revision of the BUMN Law will be carried out, but rather compliance with the decision of the Constitutional Court (MK).
For your information, the Constitutional Court through decision number 128/PUU-XXIII/2025 prohibits concurrent positions not only at the ministerial level but also the deputy minister (wamen). Referring to the Constitutional Court's decision, the transition period is given for two years so that the government has time to adjust the regulation.
"It's not a matter of fast or not. First, because there is a Constitutional Court decision that we must follow. It is in the cumulative open category," said Supratman in Jakarta, Friday, September 26.
In addition to the mandate of the Constitutional Court, continued Supratman, the revision of the BUMN Law has also been decided to be included in the National Legislation Program (Prolegnas).
Supratman also claimed that all public input submitted during the discussion was also considered by the government and the DPR to prepare a list of problem inventory (DIM).
"Friends at Commission VI have done meanful participation. Everything is done openly. Hearing the experts and all the input from the civil society has been heard," he said.
Supratman also ensured that the joint decision of the government and the DPR in this revision showed that the legislation process was transparent and responsive to the needs of the community.
"And the result today proves that what was voiced by the public today was heard by the government and the DPR. It was realized in today's decision," he said.
Previously, the Government together with Commission VI of the DPR RI agreed that the revision of Law (UU) Number 1 of 2025 concerning State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) was brought to the Plenary Meeting to be ratified into law.
