16 Toll Roads Sanctioned By The Minister Of Public Works, Tariff Adjustments Delayed For Two Years

JAKARTA - The government has imposed strict sanctions on a number of toll road business entities (BUJT) that do not meet the minimum service standards (SPM) of toll roads.

Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said the sanctions were in the form of a written warning to postpone the tariff adjustment without exception. This step is taken so that BUJT is not negligent in fulfilling the SPM aspect.

"We have given strict sanctions to BUJT who do not comply with SPM in the form of warnings and delays in tariff adjustments without exception," said Dody at a Working Committee Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 24.

Dody revealed that of the 75 toll roads operating throughout the country, at least 16 segments or about 21 percent are subject to administrative sanctions. The form is in the form of a written warning and delays in tariff adjustments.

Based on the presentation displayed, the delay period for toll tariff adjustments varies, ranging from 2.5 months to the longest reaching 2 years and 2 months on one of the toll roads.

"Until the longest is 2 years and 2 months on the Krian'Legundi'Bunder section," he said.

He emphasized that the fulfillment of toll road SPM is of the public interest. For this reason, he asked for full support from Commission V of the DPR RI to strengthen SPM regulations, implementation and evaluation.

According to him, toll roads are not just physical infrastructure, but a symbol of the presence of the state. If service standards are maintained, the benefits obtained are not only inter-regional connectivity.

"So what we get is not only inter-regional connectivity, but also people's trust in the country," explained Dody.

The following is a list of 16 toll roads that have been sanctioned:

1. Pekanbaru 'Padang' (Pekanbaru Section' Bangkinang 'XIII Koto Kampar): Rating adjustment delayed for about 2.5 months; 2. Soreang'Pasir Koja: tariff adjustment delayed for about 7 months; 3. CikampekPalimanan: tariff adjustment delayed for about 7 months; 4. Serpong Balaraja: tariff adjustment delayed for about 1 month; 5. Krian LegundiBunder: tariff adjustment delayed for about 2 years 2 months;

6. Kayuagung Palembang: Potential delay in tariff adjustment; 7. Waru Interchange Juanda Airport: Rating adjustment delayed for about 4 months; 8. Cileunyi Sumedang Duauan (Cisumdawu): Potential delay of tariff adjustment; 9. Bekasi Cawang Kp. Malay (Becak Kayu): Rating adjustment delayed for about 4 months; 10. Bakauheni Big decay: Potential delay of tariff adjustment;

11. Balikpapan Samarinda: Potential delays in tariff adjustments; 12. Cikampek Padalarang: Potential delays in tariff adjustments;13. Padalarang Cileunyi: Potential delays in tariff adjustments; 14. Palimanan Kanci: Potential delays in tariff adjustments; 15. Kanci Pejagan: Potential delays in tariff adjustments; and 16. Semarang Batang: Potential delays in tariff adjustments.
