The Minister Of Public Works Said That The Traffic Volume Of 21 Toll Roads Is Less Than 50 Percent, Here's The List

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo said, there are still several challenges to meet the minimum service standards (SPM) of toll roads.

One of them is that there are still toll roads whose traffic volume is less than 50 percent of the assumption of a toll road business agreement (PPJT). The lack of traffic volume achievement has an impact on toll road maintenance.

"Let us convey that there are still several toll road business entities (BUJT) whose traffic volume realization is much lower than we assume in the toll road business agreement," said Dody at a Working Committee Meeting with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 24.

The low realization of traffic is believed to have an impact on the amount of income that is not proportional to operational and maintenance costs until the concession period.

"As a result, toll revenue was not achieved and BUJT had difficulty financing its maintenance, so that the fulfillment of SPM could not be optimal," he said.

Based on data presented by Dody, the 21 toll roads consist of Manado 'Bitung' (PT Jasamarga Manado Bitung); Krian'Legundi 'Bunder Manyar (PT Waskita Bumi Wira); Nusa Dua'Ngurah Rai' Benoa (PT Jasa Marga Bali Tol); Cibitung' Cibitung (PT Cibitung Tanjung Priok Port; SigliBanda Aceh (PT Hutama Karya); Lubuk LinggauCurupBengkulu; and Simpang IndralayaMuara Enim (PT Hutama Karya).

Then, there is the Palembang 'Indralaya Toll Road (PT Hutama Karya); Kuala Tanjung' High Cliff 'Pematang Siantar'Parapat (PT Hutama Karya); Six Inner City Toll Road Developments (PT Jakarta Toll Road Development); Serang'Panimbang (PT Wijaya Karya Serang Panimbang); Semarang Demak (PT PP Semarang Demak); Yogyakarta Solo SYIS Kulonprogo (PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo); and Kanci Pejagan (PT Semesta Marga Raya).

Furthermore, there is the Pemalang Batang Toll Road (PT Pemalang Batang Toll Road); Mojokerto Kertosono (PT Marga Harjaya Infrastruktur); GempolPasuruuan (PT Jasamarga Gempol Pasuruan); SS Waru Juanda Airport (PT Citra Margatama Surabaya); Serpong Cinere (PT Cinere Serpong Jaya); and Kayu AgungPalembang (PT Waskita Sriwijaya Tol).
