Knock! DPR RI Approves KKP Budget Of IDR 13 Trillion Next Year

JAKARTA - Commission IV of the DPR RI approved the definitive budget ceiling of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) for 2026 of IDR 13 trillion.

The approval was read out by the Chairman of Commission IV of the DPR RI Titiek Soeharto during a Working Meeting (Raker) with the KKP at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 16.

"Commission IV of the DPR RI approved the budget ceiling of the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries for the 2026 Fiscal Year in accordance with the results of the discussion of the 2026 State Budget Bill by the DPR RI Budget Agency of Rp. 13 trillion," said Titiek.

Titiek said that the budget ceiling will be used for fisheries and marine management programs of Rp. 8.6 trillion, additional value programs and industrial competitiveness of Rp. 384.6 billion and environmental quality programs of Rp. 44.5 billion.

Then, there is a vocational education and training program of IDR 266.6 billion and a management support program of IDR 3.6 trillion.

"Furthermore, Commission IV of the DPR RI will convey the results of the discussion of RKA KKP FA 2026 to the DPR RI Budget Agency as material for determination," he concluded.

Previously, KKP received an indicative budget ceiling of IDR 3.61 trillion for 2026.

However, after holding a meeting with Commission IV of the DPR RI, the KKP also received an additional budget of IDR 13 trillion.

"We would like to thank the chairmen, vice chairmen and all members of Commission IV of the DPR RI for the support and trust given, so that finally in the 2026 KKP budget year (TA) the KKP will receive an increase in the budget from Rp3.6 trillion in the indicative ceiling to Rp13 trillion (in) the budget ceiling. It's been four years, mother, this is the first time," said Trenggono at a Working Meeting with Commission IV of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 3.

Trenggono explained that the KKP budget ceiling came from pure rupiah amounting to Rp12.3 trillion, foreign loans and grants of Rp278 billion, Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) Rp74 billion, Public Service Agency (BLU) Rp217 billion and State Sharia Securities (SBSN) Rp87 billion.

Of this total, a budget of IDR 12.72 trillion was used for the expenditure needs of employees, operations, and the implementation of President Prabowo Subianto's priority program.

Kemudian, untuk revitalisasi laboratorium jaminan mutu; tambahan anggaran pendidikan; peningkatan pengawasan sumber daya kelautan dan perikanan; bantuan pemerintah; serta penguatan tugas pokok dan produksi untuk pelayanan publik.

Adapun program prioritas yang dicanangkan Pemerintahan Prabowo, yakni, pembangunan kampung nelayan merah putih (KNMP); pembangunan pergaraman nasional; revitalisasi tambak udang rakyat; pembangunan kawasan tambak udang terintegrasi; serta modeling budi daya rumput laut, lobster dan bawal bintang.

Then, for the revitalization of quality insurance laboratories; additional education budgets; increased supervision of marine and fishery resources; government assistance; as well as strengthening basic tasks and production for public services.

The priority programs launched by the Prabowo Government, namely, the construction of a red and white fishing village (KNMP); national plantation development; revitalization of people's shrimp ponds; development of integrated shrimp pond areas; as well as modeling seaweed cultivation, lobsters and stellar baul.
