Investment In The Capai SEZ Area IDR 40.48 Trillion In Semester I-2025

JAKARTA - The National Council for Special Economic Zones (KEK) noted that the realization of investment in SEZs reached IDR 40.48 trillion during the first semester of 2025.

This figure is equivalent to 48.2 percent of this year's investment target of IDR 84.1 trillion.

Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso said the investment achievement in the SEZ area was also accompanied by the absorption of 28,095 workers and involved 65 companies.

Susi, her nickname, explained that two indicators of performance achievement per semester of 2025 were still in accordance with the government's target for this SEZ performance achievement.

"The realization of investment and employment will continue to grow and we estimate that in the next years there will be more," he said at a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy Office, Jakarta, Tuesday, September 9.

Cumulatively, continued Susi, from 2021 to June 2025, the SEZ has recorded an investment of IDR 294.4 trillion.

Employment absorption reached 187,376 people, and involved 442 business actors.

Currently, said Susi, there are 25 SEZs spread throughout Indonesia. Starting from Aceh to Papua, there are 7 SEZs on the island of Java, and 18 SEZs outside Java.

Of the 25 current SEZs, 13 SEZs are in the industrial sector, while the remaining 12 are in the Jasa sector.

"We will see for the realization of the investment of around Rp294 trillion in 25 SEZs," he said.

Susi said that when it comes to investment value, the largest is in the manufacturing industry SEZ, and the management industry.

Meanwhile, SEZs in the field of services, especially in education, health services, are also related to the digital creative economy. Maybe the physical investment in development is not as large as in several manufacturing industries," he said.

Saat ini, lanjut Susi, jumlah pelaku usaha atau industri yang ada di dalam KEK sebanyak 442 perusahaan. Paling banyak ada di KEK Kendal, yakni 128 industri.

“Selain itu juga masih banyak yang harusnya akan masuk lagi di KEK Kendal dan di KEK Gresik. Secara umum capaian kinerja ini sangat baik sekali, khususnya dari sisi realisasi investasi dan penyerapan tenaga kerja dan penciptaan industri di dalam KEK,” tuturnya.
