Susiwijono Reveals WFH At The Coordinating Ministry For The Economy Handed Over To Each Deputy

JAKARTA - Secretary of the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Susiwijono Moegiarso said that the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs did not impose a special policy for work from home (WFH) on Friday, August 29, despite demonstrations at a number of points in Jakarta.

"Today we at the Coordinating Ministry did not provide a special policy for WFH because indeed we have also been scheduled for meetings since morning," he told the media crew, Friday, August 29.

He explained that the decision to work from home was handed over to each deputy to be adjusted to the conditions and needs of the work unit

"That's why we and our deputies agreed that we would not prepare WFH but adjust it later for each deputy, if any of his subordinates asked for permission, they would be checked and given permission from WFH," he said.

According to him, although some employees run WFH, office activities continue to run normally, including the presence of deputies at the office.

"Most of them are WFH, but if you look at this, my friends at the office are quite complete. The deputy is also all in the office and since this morning we have actually had an internal meeting," he said.

He also revealed that a meeting previously scheduled with other ministries/agencies (K/L) related to further negotiations with the United States had to be postponed due to current conditions.

"We have postponed several meetings that invited other Ministries/Egencies. But instead, we immediately had an internal meeting. This morning we scheduled to invite K/L-K/L for further negotiations with the United States," he explained.

Previously, the Ministry, which is located near the point of today's demonstration, issued a policy of working from home or working from home (WFH) or working from anywhere or working from anywhere (WFA).

Based on VOI's observations in the field, the Ministry of SOEs is one of the ministries that implements WFH. There are also parking lots of motorized vehicles and empty cars.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag), located in Gambir, Central Jakarta, implemented the WFA policy. Employees can work from anywhere so they don't have to come to the office.
