Bahlil Lantik Laode Sulaeman Becomes Director General Of Oil And Gas

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia inaugurated Laode Sulaeman as Director General of Oil and Gas on Earth.

The inauguration was held at Chairul Saleh Building, the Secretariat General Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources on Friday, August 29.

Laode previously served as Director of Oil and Gas Infrastructure Planning and Development at the Directorate General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

In his remarks, Bahlil said, one of Laode's main tasks when appointed was still related to energy sovereignty in terms of increasing oil lifting.

"I ask Pak Laude to immediately consolidate and communicate technically with SKK Migas and KKKS regarding the increase in lifting," he said in his remarks, Friday, August 29.

Bahlil also asked Laode to work well in carrying out the mandate as Director General of Oil and Gas because according to him many people do not work seriously. For this reason, he asked Laode to stick to the existing rules and not be controlled by any party.

"Where the father is, there are subtle creatures that we do not see, we cannot hold but are felt continuously. So I entrust Pak Laode so that he does not want to follow the subtle creatures," he explained.

Moreover, he said, Laode was not a new figure in the Ditjen Migas environment. From the beginning of his career, Laode was an ASN at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and was a career official.

"So I think Pak Laode knows and understands. So the President's permission, the father is appointed," he said.
