JAKARTA The Indonesian Business Council (IBC) will hold the Indonesia Economic Summit (IES) 2026 on February 3, 2026.

This annual strategic forum carries the theme "Coming Together to Boost Resilient Growth and Shared Prosperity" with the aim of encouraging Indonesia's inclusive and competitive economic growth amid global uncertainty.

Chairman of the IBC Supervisory Board Arsjad Rasjid emphasized that the 2026 IES is a forum for the government, business actors, academics, and global experts to provide input in improving policies while strengthening national economic governance.

Meanwhile, IBC CEO Sofyan Djalil said that the IES advantage lies in the integration of real ideas and actions.

Every session will produce implementive solutions through cross-sectoral task force, the signing of the MoU, to the matching project. That way, this forum will have a direct impact on the economy and society," he said.

The strategic topics to be discussed include industrialization and quality investment, talent development and AI adoption, energy transition and carbon market, as well as export diversification and supply chain resilience.

Complementing this forum, IBC also launched an IBC in Action program highlighting the real initiatives of the private sector, ranging from waste management, improving the welfare of migrant workers, to other sustainable development.

"With IES 2026, we hope that Indonesia will be stronger in facing global challenges, and be able to compete at the regional and international levels," concluded Arsjad.
