Worried About Influence Of JCI, Commission XI Of The House Of Representatives Holds Closed Meetings With Danantara

JAKARTA - Commission XI of the Indonesian House of Representatives held its inaugural meeting with the Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara). However, the meeting took place behind closed doors.

Chairman of Commission XI DPR RI Mukhamad Misbakhun said the meeting was decided to be closed to maintain the confidentiality of information related to BUMN business strategies that have the potential to affect the market, both stocks and investments.

"Although this meeting is the first meeting, later there will be several things that will be conveyed by Danantara, it is feared that it will affect the market, whether in terms of stock prices or investments that should not be known to the public earlier," said Misbakhun when opening a working meeting with the Minister of SOEs and the ranks of the Danantara, at the DPR Building, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 23.

Misbakhun also reminded members who attended that the meeting was decided to be held behind closed doors to prevent the spread of information that was insider.

"I ask for the attention of all members, to meeting materials that are private and confident to be maintained, and I declare that this meeting will be declared closed," he said.

The meeting was attended by Danantara Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Rosan Roeslani and Danantara Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Pandu Sjahrir. Also present were Minister of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Erick Thohir, and Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo.

For your information, previously Danantara had held an inaugural meeting with Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives this morning. The meeting discussed the work plan of PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM) as the operational holding company for the remainder of 2025.

Danantara Chief Operating Officer (COO) Dony Oskaria revealed that there are 22 strategic programs that will be carried out by Danantara. These programs are divided into three clusters, namely restructuring, consolidation, and development aimed at supporting optimizing the portfolio of SOEs.

Dony said to support the smooth running of the 22 programs, DAM will prioritize the completion of business support governance, especially in the human capital, finance, risk management, and legal aspects.

"We hope that in the next five months we will be able to complete the 22 work programs that we have consulted and discussed in detail with Commission VI for two days," he said in a working meeting with Commission VI of the DPR RI, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 23.
