P2SDN Presidential Instruction Instruction Is Needed To Accelerate Milk And Meat Production

JAKARTA - The Presidential Instruction (Inpres) on the Acceleration of National Milk and Meat Production or P2SDN is considered necessary to accelerate national milk and meat production.

"This Presidential Instruction is needed in the context of realization or implementation of the acceleration of national milk and meat production," said Director General of Animal Husbandry and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture Agung Suganda quoting Antara.

The Ministry of Agriculture encourages the issuance of the P2SDN Presidential Instruction. This Presidential Instruction will later become the basis for all relevant ministries, institutions and agencies, including local governments in the implementation of this P2SDN.

"Of course, the Minister of Agriculture will write to the President of the Republic of Indonesia regarding this Presidential Instruction, we have prepared the draft Presidential Instruction," said Agung.

The government is accelerating the National Milk and Meat Production Increase Acceleration Program (P2SDN) which is the mandate of the 2025-2029 National Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMN).

For information, the Ministry of Agriculture's target is to encourage an increase in national milk and beef production to support the Free Nutrition Food Program (MBG) as announced by President Prabowo Subianto.

One of the concrete efforts is to bring in 1 million dairy cows and 1 million broiler cows in the next five years.

As of mid-June 2025, 22,241 have entered consisting of 8,580 dairy cows and 11,405 broiler cows.

The import policy of cattle imports is not a substitute for local production, but an accelerator for accelerating national food independence because most of the cattle imported are in disbursed condition and ready to increase the population.
