JAKARTA - Head of the Capital Archipelago Authority (OIKN) Basuki Hadimuljono revealed that the total budget requirement for the development of the Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN) phase II in the period 2025 to 2028 reached IDR 48.80 trillion.

Basuki explained that the budget was needed to support the construction of office areas, legislative housing, judiciary areas and their ecosystems.

"The budget requirement for the IKN Authority until 2028 which has been approved by the President (Prabowo) since January is IDR 48.8 trillion to build phase IKN II," Basuki said at a Working Meeting with Commission II of the DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday, July 8.

In his presentation, throughout 2025, OIKN received a budget allocation of Rp. 14.4 trillion which was used to work on a number of projects in the IKN Central Government Core Area (KIPP), starting from roads to legislative areas.

Then in 2026, said Basuki, OIKN needs a basic budget requirement of IDR 17.08 trillion.

However, next year, OIKN will receive an additional budget allocation of IDR 4.1 trillion from the remaining additional budget allocations this year.

So that the total OIKN budget post in the 2026 budget year is IDR 21.18 trillion.

Even so, the indicative ceiling received by OIKN for the new FY 2026 is IDR 5.05 trillion.

Then, Basuki suggested that President Prabowo Subianto re-inject an additional budget of IDR 16.13 trillion to meet budget needs in 2026.

"We need a budget of IDR 5.05 trillion, plus IDR 16.13 trillion," said Basuki.

As for 2027, continued Basuki, OIKN requires a budget allocation of IDR 14.64 trillion to continue a number of multi-year contract (MYC) projects, while the rest in 2028 requires a budget of IDR 2.68 trillion.
