Industry Driven To Strengthen New Renewable Energy Generation Development

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) encourages the domestic industry to strengthen the development of power generation facilities from new and renewable energy (EBT). This is so that the clean carbon target (Net Zero Emission/NZE) in 2060 can be realized.

"We encourage the development of EBT supporting industries such as solar cells, batteries, control panels, generators, water turbines, and wind turbines," said Setia Diarta, Director General of Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industry (ILMATE) quoting Antara.

Like PT Schneider Electric Indonesia, which built the third factory in Cikarang, West Java. His party considers this new factory as a strategic step in strengthening the manufacturing industry sector, especially the electricity equipment industry in Indonesia that utilizes the potential of sustainable national resources.

"This development is not only the start of a production line, but also a symbol of joint determination to make Indonesia a major player in the global manufacturing industry. This is the momentum to rise, innovate, and show that the nation's children are able to compete in the realm of high technology," said Setia.

At the inauguration ceremony for the expansion of the PT Schneider Electric Indonesia factory in Cikarang, some time ago, the Ministry of Industry was also attended by the Director of Machinery and Agricultural Machinery Equipment of the Ministry of Industry Solehan. On that occasion, Solehan said, the Ministry of Industry emphasized the importance of using domestic products in the process of producing and procuring industrial components.

The Ministry of Industry is optimistic that through the inauguration of this factory, it is hoped that more quality investment and cross-sectoral synergy will emerge in order to encourage industrial independence, create a green economy, and realize Indonesia's global and sustainable competitive future.

President Director of Schneider Electric Indonesia and Timor-Leste Martin Setiawan said that the smart factory expansion in Cikarang is a reflection of Schneider Electric's long-term commitment to support the national industry's transformation and resilience agenda.

This initiative also reflects the common spirit of Indonesia and France in encouraging innovation and accelerating green technology. According to him, the factory in Cikarang is one of Schneider Electric's smart factorys, which represents the company's commitment to sustainability and innovation. This factory implements EcoStruxureTM technology, roof solar panel systems, artificial intelligence-based automation (AI), and digital Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to optimize operational efficiency and minimize environmental impacts.
