JAKARTA - Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that in order to strengthen economic and social independence to realize a just, prosperous, and prosperous Indonesia, the medium-term strategy is focused on 8 strategies that support the development agenda.

"This policy is supported by investment in vegetable fuel distribution infrastructure, vehicle technology testing, and the development of the renewable energy ecosystem. The government is also expanding investments in clean energy projects, such as solar, hydro, and geothermal power to diversify national energy sources," he explained.
Sri Mulyani added another strategy, namely, strengthening the effectiveness of the Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program to build a healthy and productive generation.
"The MBG program is designed to improve nutrition, as well as empower the role of MSMEs, and revive the regional economy," he said.
He conveyed that in 2026, MBG will continue to be strengthened to serve 82.9 million beneficiaries through around 30,000 units of the Nutrition Fulfillment Service Unit (SPPG), with better quality food.
"This program is carried out by involving educational institutions, business actors, and local communities to maintain effectiveness and accountability," he said.
The next strategy is to provide quality and competitive education through strengthening superior schools, public schools, improving facilities and infrastructure, increasing the coarse participation rate of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and universities, strengthening the quality of teaching staff, and strengthening vocational education.
"These various flagship programs are aimed at improving access, quality, and aligning education with the needs of the business world. In 2026, the education budget will be allocated between IDR 727 trillion to IDR 761 trillion," he explained.
Sri Mulyani added that it provides quality health services to support productivity improvement by increasing the National Health Insurance (JKN) program as health insurance to improve access to quality health services and minimize the burden of public health costs.
On the other hand, he said the health budget was also directed at the effectiveness of the free health check program; acceleration of stunting reduction and infectious disease cases; strengthening health facilities; as well as adding nutrition assistance for toddlers and pregnant women.
"To support the quality of health, the health budget for 2026 is allocated Rp. 181 trillion to Rp. 228 trillion," he added.
According to him, the next strategy is to strengthen the development of Villages and empower Cooperatives and MSMEs to revive the community's economy in order to eliminate poverty, expand employment, accelerate food security, and realize welfare.
He conveyed that this effort was realized through the acceleration of independent villages and strengthening the role of the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) and MSMEs in regional economic empowerment.
Sri Mulyani added another strategy, namely strengthening the universal defense to realize a sovereign Indonesia as the foundation of economic, social and political independence in order to bring a just welfare.
