Nusron Wahid Reveals That Only 232,000 Waqf Land Fields In RI Are Certified

JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) Nusron Wahid revealed that only 232,000 waqf plots have been certified.

This means that there are still 568,000 waqf plots of land that have not been certified out of a total of 800,000 waqf plots of land.

"In Indonesia, the total number of mosques, prayer rooms, Islamic boarding schools and others is 800,000 throughout Indonesia. Of the 800,000 who have just been certified with waqf 232,000. There are still more than 500,000 madrasas, Islamic boarding schools, mosques, prayer rooms, the eldest. If in Java, it is violated, those who have not been certified as waqf," said Nusron in the agenda of launching Land and Tax Data Integration as well as the opening of the Fatayat NU branch conference at the Tangerang Mayor's office, Banten, Wednesday, April 30.

Therefore, Nusron reminded the representatives to immediately circumvent the land. Because, it is feared that there will be a widening of the toll road which then triggers quarrels between the management and the late wakif.

Meanwhile, in the past, many families had waqf land that did not interpret the assets, because they considered the selling price low.

However, in line with economic growth and urban planning development, it is also coupled with the existence of National Strategic Projects (PSN) such as toll roads, land prices also soar.

"Incidentally, his son, who used to be waqf, his son was waqf, nominated for elected members of the DPR, no mayor was elected, he had a lot of debt. I was looking for assets that I could sell over time. Remember that his father used to own land, forgot that when he was donated, finally it was tampered with again. So, he wanted to sell it," he explained.

According to Nusron, this phenomenon does not only occur in one or two places, but in various places.

So, Nusron asked for the waqf land certificate to be carried out immediately because it was free of charge for a penny.

"Therefore, Fatayat (NU) mothers, let's remind the mosque together, violate, prayer room, madrasa, especially Islamic boarding schools that have not been certified waqf, let's immediately certified waqf. (This) is free," he concluded.
