Import Value Reaches 18.92 Billion US Dollars As Of March 2025

JAKARTA - The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that Indonesia's import value in March 2025 reached 18.92 billion US dollars or an increase of 0.38 percent compared to February 2025 of 18.86 billion US dollars.

Head of BPS Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti said the import value of oil and gas (oil and gas) in March 2025 was 3.13 billion US dollars, an increase of 9.07 percent compared to February 2025 worth 2.87 billion US dollars.

Meanwhile, the value of non-oil and gas imports in March 2025 was US$15.79 billion, a decrease of 1.18 percent compared to February 2025 worth US$16 billion.

"The increase in the value of imports on a monthly basis was driven by an increase in the value of oil and gas imports which contributed 1.38 percent," he said at a press conference, Monday, April 21.

Amalia said that the import value of March 2025 increased by 5.34 percent on an annual basis or year on year (yoy) when compared to the same period in the previous year which was valued at 17.96 billion US dollars.

"Where the value of non-oil and gas imports rose 7.91 percent and oil and gas imports decreased by 5.98 percent," he said.

Amalia said the increase in the annual import value was driven by an increase in non-oil and gas imports with an increase in total imports of 6.45 percent.
