Adhi Karya Prepares Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road To Open Functional Sections Until Padang Tiji

JAKARTA - The Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road built by contractor PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk. (ADHI) will be opened functionally on the Seulimeum-Padang Tiji (Seksi 1) section to support smooth homecoming flow and backflow during the 2025 Eid holiday period.

The Seulimeum-Padang Tiji toll road is opened functionally for 25.68 km, this section is connected to the Baitussalam-Seulimeum section along the 48.2 km that has been operating before. Thus, during the Eid holiday, the total length of the toll road that can be used is 74.2 km which of course can shorten the travel time on homecoming and backflow.

Quoted from the company's official website, ADHI also prepared the Seulimeum-Padang Tiji section which will be opened functionally from March 20 to April 10, 2025 with an operating time of 08.00 - 17.00 WIB.

The functional toll road is open for two directions and has a speed limit of 60 km/hour. This functional toll road is also still free for road users. Road users can access the exit only to the Padang Tiji Toll Gate via the Padang Tiji Interchange because access to Lhokseumawe has not been operated.

ADHI together with Hutama Karya as toll road managers make preparations for quiet homecoming by improving the quality of toll roads and service quality throughout toll road operations. Hutama Karya also prepares toll road security and fleets to improve travelers' safety. Along the toll road, there is a Rest Area, precisely at KM 37 A and 37 B, where there are modular gas stations, mosques, restaurants and workshops.

The Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road is part of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road, precisely in Aceh Province. This toll road has a total length of 74.2 km, divided into 6 sections and has started operating in stages since July 2020 (Section 4), February 2021 (Section 3) and May 2024 (Section 5.6). Along the Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road, the Toll Gate operating includes Padang Tiji, GT Seulimeum, GT Jantho, GT Indrapuri, GT Blang Bintang, GT Baitussalam.

Road users are encouraged to pay attention to signs on functional toll exites and comply with traffic rules. With the opening of this functional toll road, it is a tangible manifestation of ADHI's support to support the 2025 Eid homecoming. In the future, with the Sigli-Banda Aceh toll road, ADHI hopes to increase connectivity and have a significant economic impact for local communities in Aceh Province.
