JAKARTA - The Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) recorded that until February 2025 the realization of social assistance expenditures (bansos) was IDR 25.9 trillion or equivalent to 19.2 percent of the budget ceiling in the APBN.

Deputy Minister of Finance Suahasil Nazara revealed that spending on social assistance is a budget post that is not affected by efficiency, and remains a priority on the national agenda.

Therefore, Suahasil said that the distribution process would still be carried out according to the set schedule.

"Social assistance spending has been spent IDR 25.9 trillion or 19.2 percent of the ceiling in the state budget. This is spending whose benefits are felt by the community, especially the people whose economy is below," said Suahasil, at the KiTa State Budget Press Conference, Thursday, March 13.

Meanwhile, Suahasil explained that the use of social assistance consisted of PKH assistance of Rp7.3 trillion, basic food card assistance of Rp10.3 trillion, PBI JKN contribution assistance of around Rp7.7 trillion, PIP assistance of Rp 0.6 billion, and KIP Lecture assistance of Rp156.3 billion.

"So if in 2024, the first 2 months of Social Assistance have spent IDR 22.5 trillion, then in 2025 the first 2 months of spending has increased to IDR 25.9 trillion," he said.
