Involved In Oil Violations, Menkop Threatens To Revoke NIK Of The MSME Manufacturer Cooperative Of The Archipelago Integrated Group

The Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) has taken firm action against the Cooperatives of MSME Producers of the Archipelago Integrated Group in Kudus who have been proven to have committed violations in the distribution of cooking oil brands of Oilita.

The Ministry of Cooperatives will revoke the identity of the cooperative, in this case the Cooperative Identification Number (NIK) and through the Ministry of Law asks to freeze the cooperative's legal entity.

Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Budi Arie Setiadi said that the government does not tolerate actions that can harm the community, especially for cooperatives. Because cooperatives were formed based on the principles of kinship, mutual cooperation and for the sake of mutual welfare.

However, in practice, if cooperatives commit fraud, cooperatives should get strict sanctions. This is in line with the commitment of the Minister of Cooperatives to ensure that cooperatives must carry out their business by not having to mark up, deceive and take fictitious actions.

"The Ministry of Cooperatives does not tolerate cooperatives that abuse public trust and violate the provisions of distribution of commodities from government programs," said Budi Arie, Thursday, March 13.

As is known, some time ago the Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Andi Amran Sulaiman conducted a surprise inspection of Jaya Lenteng Agung Market and found Oilita with a volume label of 1 liter, which turned out to contain 750-800 milliliters.

Following up on the findings of the Minister of Agriculture, the team from the Ministry of Cooperatives through cooperative assistants in the regions went down to the location to supervise the intended cooperative. The results of the supervision found that the cooperative was in a state of no activity and the 2024 financial year did not hold an annual member meeting (RAT).

Budi Arie regretted the cooperative's actions because it was very detrimental to the community and betrayed the fitrah of the cooperative. It is hoped that in the future, with these findings, there will be no more cooperatives that commit fraud or fraud that can harm the community.

"The Ministry of Cooperatives is committed to maintaining the credibility of cooperatives as a profitable business entity and at the same time improving the welfare of members/communities and ensuring cooperatives operate in a healthy, professional and responsible manner," said Coordinating Minister Budi Arie.

Budi Arie also requested that cooperatives can empower as much as possible the role of internal supervisors as the front line. This is needed as an effort to minimize potential violations in carrying out cooperative business activities.
