15 Oil And Gas Projects Worth IDR 13.6 Trillion Targeted To Operate In 2025

JAKARTA - The Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) targets 15 oil and gas projects worth US$832.7 million or equivalent to Rp. 13.6 trillion (exchange rate of Rp. 16,366) to operate in 2025.

Tahun 2025 sendiri, ditargetkan ada sekitar 15 proyek yang harapannya akan on-stream di tahun ini, dengan nilainya di sekitar 832,7 juta dolar AS, kata Kepala Divisi Program dan Komunikasi SKK Migas Hudi D Suryodipuro, dikutip Antara, Kamis, 13 Maret.

With the operation of the 15 oil and gas projects, Hudi explained that there is the potential to add and/or maintain oil production capacity of 73,335 BOPD (oil barrel per day), and gas capacity of 896 MMSCFD (million cubic feet of gas standard per day).

If the volume of gas is converted to oil equivalent, then the oil and gas production capacity will be 233,389 BOEPD (equivalent barrels of oil per day).

What is meant is to maintain production capacity, referring to wells carried out rejuvenation or revamping, especially for old wells.

Total oil and gas production in 2025 from the 15 oil and gas projects is 64,913 BOPD for oil, 792 MMSCFD for gas, bringing it to 206,288 BOEPD for oil and gas, after gas volume converted into oil equivalent.

"Hopefully, related to these 15 projects, we encourage them not to delay, although of course there are challenges that may occur at this time," said Hudi.

On this occasion, Hudi also said that SKK Migas prepared three strategies to intensify oil and gas lifting in order to meet the needs of the 1 million barrels refinery to be built by the government.

The three strategies include optimizing production using technology, reactivation of idle wells, and massive exploration.

Nevertheless, he emphasized that the increase in lifting was not only aimed at meeting the needs of the 1 million barrel refinery which is currently being planned by the government.

Hudi said that although the refinery did not exist, oil and gas lifting still had to be boosted to meet domestic energy needs.

"Our production is in the range of 600 thousand (barrels), we beat it evenly. Meanwhile, consumption is around 1.5 million barrels. So, our need to increase lifting must still exist," said Hudi.
