Ministry Of SOEs Confirms Ifan Seventen Becomes President Director Of PT PFN

JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) confirmed Riefian Fajarsyah alias Ifan Seventeen, the vocalist of the Seventeen band to be the President Director (Managing Director) of PT Film Negara (Persero) or PFN.

This was confirmed by the Spokesperson for the Ministry of SOEs, Putri Violla, when met at her office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12.

"(Ifan) is the President Director of PFN, that's right, gaining trust, so there is indeed an appointment of directors," said Putri.

Putri admits that there is a public spotlight on the figure of Ifan as a musician as the leader of a film company. According to Putri, Ifan not only had experience in the field of music, but had also been a film producer.

"Actually, if we look at Ifan's work, it's not just in the music world, because he already has experience being a producer, so he can then become the director," he said.

In addition to considering the background, continued Putri, the Ministry of SOEs also encourages young leadership in state-owned companies. The hope is that with a leader from the younger generation, he can encourage the progress of the creative industry in terms of SOEs.

"We hope to bring new developments for PFN. What we hope is that there will be young leaders, we will give them the opportunity to become President Directors," he said.

Furthermore, Putri said that the Ministry of SOEs was waiting for new steps that Ifan would take in leadership at PT PFN.

"We'll see later with its creativity, experience, background, what breakthroughs can be made for PFN. We'll just have to wait for proof from Ifan," he explained.
