BP Taskin Optimistic 3 Priority Programs The Government Can Reduce Poverty

Head of the Poverty Reduction Acceleration Agency (BP Taskin) Budiman Sudjatmiko believes that the government's three priority programs are able to reduce poverty in Indonesia.

"The Prabowo Subianto government is trying to turn the economy around to reduce the poor by using three things that are its mainstay. The three things are Free Nutrition Food (MBG), cheap houses, and people's schools," said Budiman Sudjatmiko, quoted by Antara, Saturday, March 8.

He said this when giving a Profession I Work Lecture for the National Police Education and Training Institute for the Staff and Leadership School (Sespim) of the National Police.

According to him, these three programs will have a snowball effect to reduce many potential social problems.

"If we have a healthy next generation, the home environment is good, and goes to school properly, then the life of the next generation will be better," said Budiman Sudjatmiko.

His party also highlighted that the economy that is not entrepreneur-based is one of the causes of the current economic situation in the country that is not healthy.

"Our people have not been able to develop their intellectuals to produce. From an economic perspective, many rich people do not get money from the right production and also make the economy not develop," said Budiman Sudjatmiko.

The existence of deindustrialization makes the business sector that exploits nature more profitable than manufacturing. On the other hand, he continued, business in the field of digitalization is also less popular.

"Utilizing nature without providing added value will make the economy only enjoyed by a handful of people. Economic problems in Indonesia are economics that are not based on entrepreneurship. Our politics is not funded by companies that add value, but funded by plantation companies, mining, forest clearing. Our DPR is funded by digital companies, for example, intelligence or information companies," said Budiman Sudjatmiko.
