"Alhamdulillah, DPK BSI continues to grow with improving quality every year. We are optimistic that this will continue because the Islamic economic market in Indonesia is still very large. Therefore, we must continue to innovate to provide inclusive product services and options for the whole community," he said, in a written statement, Sunday, February 23.
Compared to the national and sharia industry, In November 2024, BSI is in the position of the 5 largest banks in Indonesia in the composition of savings. Total savings reached IDR 140.53 trillion. This achievement grew by 12.67 percent year on year.
Hery continued that the increase in BSI DPK is in line with business growth. In fact, the Islamic banking industry can grow better throughout 2024. Sharia banking DPK growth grew by 12.84 percent yoy, compared to national banking which only grew around 7.54 percent yoy.
"We are optimistic that DPK growth will grow well this year. With a directed expansion strategy and digital innovation, we are ready to face challenges as well as take advantage of future growth opportunities," continued Hery with optimism.

On the other hand, Hery is also optimistic that the financial performance of Islamic banking will be solid. Along with the issuance of a permit from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) to run a bulion business or gold bank will be a big momentum for increasing BSI's performance in the future.
The presence of a Bulion bank will expand the more modern and innovative Islamic financial ecosystem.
"We want to create a broad and sustainable sharia financial ecosystem. With the presence of Bulion Bank, we are optimistic that the gold business can continue to grow and become the main pillar in supporting BSI's future performance growth," he concluded.
