This Is A Form Of PTPP's Concern For Children With Cancer Fighters

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), one of the country's construction companies, through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, held a Cancer Fighter Care Smile (sUPPer) activity at the Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Jakarta, Thursday 13 February.

The event was attended by 150 participants, consisting of children with cancer who underwent hospitalization or outpatient treatment, as well as parents accompanying patients. This event was held thanks to the collaboration between PT PP and Srikandi PTPP, the Employee Wife Association of PTPP (IIKPP), and support from Dharmais Cancer Hospital.

In his remarks, the President Director of Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Dr. Soeko W. Nindito D. MARS expressed his gratitude to PTPP.

"Thanks to PTPP for its care and concern program for child patients at Dharmais Hospital," he said.

SUPPer activities are intended to provide emotional and educational support to pediatric patients and their families through a series of inspiring events, such as talk shows with cancer survivors, education about cancer awareness, and interactive games that build the spirit of children cancer fighters.

PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo stated, this event is part of the company's commitment to have a sustainable positive impact on society.

"We hope that through this activity, children and their families can feel happiness, get education, and feel support from many parties. This event is also in line with the goal of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to create a healthier and equal world for future generations," said Joko.

Not only providing entertainment and education, this event also invites stakeholders, including the Ministry of Health and company leaders, to actively participate in supporting children of cancer fighters.

Dharmais Cancer Hospital is an important location for the implementation of the SUPPer. This hospital was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on August 30, 2024, accompanied by Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, and a number of other high-ranking officials.

The Dharmais Cancer Hospital construction project was carried out by PT PP with a contract value of Rp474.3 billion, using funds from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB). The building with an area of 35,680 m2 has 18 floors and 3 basements, and records the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI) as the hospital with the deepest radiotherapy bunker in Indonesia, with a concrete wall thickness of 1.5-3.5 meters capable of containing a maximum energy radiation of 10 MV FFF.

On the same occasion, the President Director of Dharmais Cancer Hospital, Dr. Soeko W. Nindito D. MARS appreciated Dharmais Hospital' new building.

"This new building is Megah and is very functional, which is also built by PTPP," he said.

With the presence of Dharmais Cancer Hospital as a leading cancer service center, PT PP is committed to continuing to support efforts to improve public health through social programs that have a positive impact.
