Minister Of Public Works Ensures Budget Efficiency Will Not Disturb Infrastructure Development In Indonesia

JAKARTA - Minister of Public Works (PU) Dody Hanggodo ensured that budget efficiency did not affect the performance of the Ministry of Public Works in building infrastructure in the country.

It is known that the remaining budget ceiling for the Ministry of Public Works for the 2025 fiscal year is IDR 29.57 trillion.

This is the impact of the existence of budget efficiency of IDR 81.38 trillion from the total initial ceiling of IDR 110.95 trillion.

According to Dody, the Ministry of Public Works' infrastructure development program at FY 2025 has been well regulated.

So that it will not interfere or even stop the running of infrastructure work that is on going.

"The Ministry of Public Works is used to building, so our big goal is whatever we build, yes, it must be finished. So, no one should stall because it's not our standard. That's roughly the case," said Dody in his official statement, Friday, February 7.

Dody assessed that his party would optimize the budget that had been approved by the Ministry of Finance (Kemenkeu) and the DPR effectively and transparently.

Thus, he continued, infrastructure development really provides maximum benefits for the community.

"We will increase productivity and reduce the Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR), so that every development investment really provides maximum benefits for a better life," he said.

Dody said that his party would optimize the infrastructure that had been built to provide more benefits for the community.

One of them optimizes dams that have been completed with the construction and rehabilitation of irrigation networks to irrigate to community fields.

"The Ministry of Public Works is ready to work, we continue to optimize existing infrastructure to make it more efficient and have a wider impact," concluded Dody.
