PT Timah Fires Employees Who Mock Honorary Drugs Using BPJS

JAKARTA - PT Timah Tbk. (TINS) decided to impose sanctions in the form of Termination of Work Relations (PHK) against video uploading employees who mocked honorary for seeking treatment using BPJS Kesehatan services, Dwi Citra Weni.

Head of the Communications Division of PT Timah Anggi Siahaan in his statement said that his party had examined its employees and then firmly demonstrated its commitment to enforcement of work rules and ethics.

"After going through the evaluation process, we can convey that PT Timah Tbk has issued a decree with sanctions for termination of employment with the person concerned. The company also said that this decision is firmness and a commitment in enforcing company regulations," he said in a statement to the media, Thursday, February 6.

Anggi also wants, in the future, the former employee's personal social media activity will no longer be associated with PT Timah Tbk as a company. He also appealed to all employees of PT Timah to uphold ethics in using social media.

"The company believes that everyone has the right to use social media wisely, but the Company also hopes that this incident can be a lesson for all employees and extended families of PT Timah Tbk to always uphold ethics and obey applicable regulations," said Anggi.

Dwi Citra Weni is known to have served as Senior Analyst of the Environment (SA) at PT Timah, with the task of handling environmental issues in the company. This dismissal decision is proof of PT Timah's commitment to upholding discipline and work ethics in the company environment.
