JAKARTA - The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) continues to investigate related to the installation of a sea fence in the waters of Tangerang Regency, Banten.
Special Staff to the Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KP) for Public Relations and Public Communications Doni Ismanto said, on Wednesday, February 5, there were five village heads (kades) and one village secretary (sekdes) who were questioned by the KKP.
The inspection, which was held at the head office of the Directorate General of Marine and Fishery Resources Supervision (PSDKP), was completed on the same day.
"At the examination on Wednesday, February 5, a number of people were summoned, consisting of village officials and parties suspected of being involved in managing land certificates and installing sea fences," Doni said in a written statement, Thursday, February 6.
Doni detailed that of these, six village officials were present, namely the Karang Serang Village Head, the Kronjo Village Head, the Tanjung Pasir Village Head, the Ketapang Village Head, the Lontar Village Head and the Kohod Village Secretary.
However, said Doni, Mandor M, who is suspected of being the coordinator of the sea fence installation, did not answer the call.
"Although the address has been found, its whereabouts are still unknown and are still being searched," he said.
In addition, two other people, namely SW and C from one lawyer's office, were also not present. Their contacts could not be contacted and their domicile addresses had not been verified.
"As a follow-up, the KKP will continue to look for the three people who have not fulfilled the summons and make summons to other parties who are considered to know the installation or owner of the sea fence," said Doni.
"In addition, the KKP has also shared data on the results of the examination with the authorities to support wider law enforcement," he continued.
Furthermore, said Doni, the entire inspection process was carried out to ensure the use of orderly, fair and in accordance with applicable regulations.
"In order to maintain the sustainability of the ecosystem and access rights of coastal communities," he concluded.
