Deputy Minister of Public Works (PU) Diana Kusumastuti held a meeting with Country Director and Resident Representative Regional Hub Indonesia Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Amer Bukvi
The meeting aims to discuss the potential for cooperation in priority sectors of the Red and White Cabinet led by President Prabowo Subianto.
During the meeting, Diana expressed her appreciation for the long-standing partnership relationship between the Ministry of Public Works and IsDB.
"We are grateful for IsDB's support in various strategic projects in Indonesia. I hope that this meeting can further strengthen and expand our cooperation in the future," Diana said in a written statement, quoted Thursday, February 6.
In accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's directives, the Ministry of Public Works is currently focusing its program on three main sectors.
Diana emphasized that there are still gaps of around 6 million house connections (SR) for access to clean water throughout Indonesia.
Therefore, he hopes that IsDB can play a role in supporting the fulfillment of this need so that the distribution of clean water to the community can run optimally. In addition, Diana also said, opportunities for cooperation in the construction of house inlets for the urban waste water management system.
Responding to this, Amer Bukvi Badminton emphasized IsDB's commitment to supporting infrastructure development in Indonesia.
"We are very enthusiastic to participate in the priority projects of the Ministry of Public Works and want to increase our presence in supporting strategic development. Indonesia is the third largest shareholder in IsDB and we are committed to continuing to contribute," he said.

Currently, IsDB is financing the Trans South-South Java Road Phase II project, which aims to improve economic connectivity in the southern corridor of Java through the construction of 67.8 kilometers of roads and bridges in the Yogyakarta and East Java regions.
The project has a total loan of 150 million US dollars with disbursement of funds that have reached 46.42 million US dollars or around 30.95 percent.
Previously, at the end of 2024, IsDB had completed the Trans South-South Java Road Phase I project which had been going on since 2019. The project had a total funding of 235 million US dollars through the Isthisna scheme and an additional 15 million US dollars through the Ijarah scheme.
